I've been inspecting all kinds of homes-both urban and rural properties-for more than two decades. For 25 years, I've taken ongoing Continuing Education to stay up to date with the latest trends, techniques, and products in housing.

For 35 years, I was a licensed residential contractor, building homes from the ground up, so I understand how a house is put together. I can recognize problems with materials, installation, and workmanship that inspectors without my decades of hands-on knowledge in all aspects of the building trades might miss. I can also identify attempts at covering up defects in the house, which is especially important for buyers considering older homes.

I'm a lifetime resident of the Lansing-Jackson area. I have taught at the community college level, and my volunteerism has also taken me as far away as France, Grenada, Romania, the Dominican Republic, and Canada. I currently volunteer at my church. These have been opportunities for hands-on work in construction.
